NetRadio - BBC changes
(too old to reply)

Hi Since the BBC as of Feb 2015 -seem to have dropped
Windows Media format - in favour of shoutcast MP3. Has
anyone got a URL to BBC3?
Try www.listenlive.eu/uk.html Works here with Linux/VLC
I had noticed that I had lost my Radio 4 from NetRadio, but spotted the
above postings on csa networking, and have used the above site to find a
URL that works again.

The Listen Live link gave me an m3u file which, when loaded into StrongEd
(other editors /are/ available) gave me the URL to substitute in the
NetRadio choices file 'List'.

I expect the same procedure will work for other BBC stations which have
changed.

I've been away, so Bernard may have issued a replacement list, but, if not,
I expect he will soon!

So, thank you to Ned for the useful site.

Non-RISC OS posters change user to johnrwilliams or put 'risc' in subject!

Sorry- just realised I've messed up people's threading in quoting something
from networking and leaving the header references in!

Mea culpa.

I updated the NetRadio list on 20 Feb 2015
http://www.bapfish.org.uk/radiolist.htm
and NetRadio 0.20 now has the new BBC addresses in
http://www.bapfish.org.uk/netradio.htm
I use different BBC addresses to the listenlive collection though, but
anything that works must be good.

I can't get BBC Radio 3 (320K) to work - 'string too long' - does it work

Radio 3 (320K)
http://open.live.bbc.co.uk/mediaselector/5/select/version/2.0/mediaset/http-icy-aac-lc-a/format/pls/vpid/bbc_radio_three.pls
works for me OK using NetRadio 0.20 on an Iyonix PC with RISC OS 5.20
and on a Raspberry Pi with RISC OS 5.21

Chris
The radiofeeds website must have it wrong. This works for
Stray FM (Dales) 128K - Just tried it and it works in NetRadio.
http://str1.sad.ukrd.com/stray-dales.mp3
Note: All Stray FM addresses to have mp3 on the end, not m3u
Also note that 'str1' ends in the character number one '1'.

So all the Stray FM 128K feeds are:
Stray Extra http://str1.sad.ukrd.com/stray-extra.mp3
Stray FM (Harrogate) http://str1.sad.ukrd.com/stray.mp3
Stray FM (Yorkshire Dales) http://str1.sad.ukrd.com/stray-dales.mp3
